From Norwich and princess of the heartbreak vocal, Beth Orton's first musical excursion was cutting a cover of a John Martyn song with William Orbit. This led, by way of two acclaimed singles with Red Snapper, to collaborations with The Chemical Brothers (vocals on one track on both of their albums). Beth's own highly acclaimed debut, Trailer Park - a startlingly original collection of lovingly crafted songs underpinned by bubbling pulses and beats - has now sold over 50,000 copies.
