1. All entrants must be aged 18 years or over and residents of the UK. Entries must not be made through agents or third parties. Any such entries will be deemed void.
2. The prize is a pair of tickets to the 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize Awards Show. The prize does not include travel and accommodation. The Awards Show tickets are not transferable and must not be sold or passed on to any third party. There is no cash alternative to the prize stated. The organisers shall not be responsible for failure to provide the prize for any reason beyond their control.
3. Entry to the prize draw is via the Mercury Prize MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/mercuryprize
4. Entrants must comply with all terms and conditions of the competition.
5. One entry per person. Entrants must post a review of 100 words or less on the 'friends comments' section of http://www.myspace.com/mercuryprize on the subject of a chosen album from the 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize shortlist.
6. The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 24 August 2007. The winner will be the entrant who gives the best answer in the eyes of the competition judges. The judge's decision is final.
7. Entry is free. No purchase necessary. Mercury Music Prize Ltd is not responsible for network or communication failures of any kind or for entries that are incomplete. Entries that are incomplete or ineligible will be void.
8. Mercury Music Prize Ltd reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and check their identity. The winner may be required to transfer personal data between themselves and the Mercury Music Prize Ltd, such as their address and date of birth. The data shall be treated as strictly confidential and will only be used in communications directly linked to this prize draw.
9. The Awards Show takes place in London on 4/9/07and the prize is conditional on the winner and the winner's guest providing personal data to enable the event organiser to carry out security checks, which are required by their insurers, and these checks being satisfactory to the event organisers. The winner and winner's guest may be subject to a search on arrival at the Awards Show event.
10. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the operation of any part of the prize draw or the operation of the text system, the decision of Mercury Music Prize Ltd shall be final.
11. In the event that the winner does not, or is unable to comply with, and meet these rules, Mercury Music Prize Ltd shall be entitled at its discretion to disqualify the winner, without any further liability to the winner.
