A student residence at the University of Leeds was the site of alt-J’s formation back in 2007, where noise restrictions and minimal equipment shaped the distinctive sound that earned them the Mercury Prize for their debut album in 2012. After bursting into the mainstream, they have played festivals and shows across the globe, and this summer performed their latest album ‘Relaxer’ at Glastonbury Festival.
