Awards Show for 2022 Mercury Prize with FREE NOW to take place on 18th October

The Awards Show on Thursday 8th September was postponed due to the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen. The re-scheduled 2022 Mercury Prize with FREE NOW Awards Show will now take place on Tuesday, 18 October 2022 at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.

There will be an exciting line-up of artists who have produced the Albums of the Year – further details of the live performances will be confirmed later. 

The evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner of the 2022 Mercury Prize with FREE NOW for ‘Album of the Year’. 

The Prize’s broadcast partner, BBC Music, will be delivering live television and radio coverage of the event – plus online and on social media.
 
BBC Four will broadcast ‘Mercury Prize 2022 with FREE NOW – Album of the Year’ on Tuesday 18 October from 9pm to 10.15pm.
 
BBC Radio 6 Music will also bring radio coverage of the awards show to listeners in a special show hosted by Tom Ravenscroft, Mercury Prize 2022 Live on Tuesday 18 October from 7pm.

Both the TV and radio programmes will feature live performances from the shortlisted artists as they lead up to the live announcement of this year’s overall winner. And the 6 Music programme will include a playout of the winner’s album in full following its reveal.
Circle tickets purchased through Eventim for the original 8 September date will remain valid for the new date on Tuesday 18 October at Eventim Apollo.
