'Everything Is Recorded' is a unique project from Richard Russell, who has had huge influence on UK music for decades through XL Recordings. It was released in February 2018.
This album brings a breadth of artists together, featuring the likes of Sampha, Damon Albarn and Giggs plus many others. On the power of collaboration, Richard Russell says: "If you've got the right approach to it, you can be a musician of any level and any experience.”
On being shortlisted, Richard Russell had this to say "So honoured that my debut album has been nominated for a Mercury Prize. Thank you. Incredible. If you are thinking about making your first album please make sure you actually do it."
