South-East London artist, Kate Tempest, has earned numerous awards and immense praise for her innovative spoken-word style, which showcases both the poetic quality of rap, and the musical possibilities of poetry. She has produced albums, plays and books of her poetry as well as having produced theatrical performances for organisations like the Royal Shakespeare Company. This is the second time she has been Shortlisted, with her debut album, ‘Everyone Down’, being on the 2014 Mercury Prize Shortlist.
